|Isidor Buchmann, founder and president of Cadex Electronics, recognized that the full potential of Nickel-cadmium was not being achieved and developed a battery analyzer to exercise and rejuvenate these batteries. The company first operated from the founder's residence under the name Buchmann Enterprises Inc. After receiving the “Cadex” trademark, Isidor changed the name to Cadex Electronics Inc. in 1985. “Cadex” is derived from "CADmium-EXerciser."|
In 1991, Cadex introduced the first user-programmable battery analyzer. The Cadex C3000 and C4000 offered more accurate test results, enabled higher battery throughput, were more effective in restoring weak packs and adapted themselves better in servicing new battery systems than other equipment available.
